Principle of ESD diode: Connect the ESD electrostatic protection diode in parallel in the circuit. When the circuit works normally, it is in the cut-off state (high resistance state) and does not affect the normal operation of the circuit. When the circuit has abnormal overvoltage and reaches its breakdown voltage, It quickly changes from a high-resistance state to a low-resistance state, providing a low-impedance conduction path for the instantaneous current, while clamping the abnormal high voltage within a safe level, thereby protecting the protected IC or circuit; when the abnormal overvoltage disappears, its recovery To high impedance state, the circuit works normally.


When the voltage exceeds the turn-on voltage of the diode, it will be turned on and grounded. Normal signals generally fail to reach the turn-on voltage and will not reach this voltage, so there will be no loss through the ground. The ESD voltage generally exceeds the turn-on voltage. The diode will be turned on, and the ESD voltage will be discharged through the ground without damaging the inside of the instrument.
